This training follows the guidelines outlined in the Ohio Auditor's recent report and ensures school officials are well-prepared to support levy campaigns within legal and ethical boundaries.
Join Support Ohio Schools to learn the essential strategies for school district levy campaign success.
This focused, three-hour training designed to equip school leaders and campaign teams with the essential strategies for levy success. Topics covered will be proven, research-based techniques for running an effective campaign and provide clear guidance on what school officials can, and cannot, do under Ohio law. The training will conclude with a panel discussion featuring a former union president, a district campaign chair, and superintendents who have successfully navigated the levy process.
Who should participate: School administrators, campaign chairs, district treasurers, union representatives, etc.
Cost: The training is free for school and campaign officials. The cost of training material is $50/ attendee.

Creating a Communications Plan: Gain insights into designing and executing a clear, persuasive campaign communications strategy that informs and motivates voters.
The Auditor of State recently answered the following question in regard to district administrators attending training:
Question: May district administrators or the board use public funds, including compensable time for personnel, to attend training designed to provide best practices covering what is allowed and prohibited district activity when a levy or bond issue is on the ballot?
Answer: Yes, district administrators or the board may use public funds to attend training to review what type of activity and use of public resources is and is not appropriate related to levy and ballot issues. This includes district staff attending such training or seminar during their normal workday.
